This research examines the phenomenon of revolutions historically and realistically The Concept of the Revolution linguistically and its Concept in the Texts of Sharia, He also studied the concept of revolution in the definition of philosophers and politicians, And the compatibility of revolutions with the rules of Sharia and its maqasid, Including the legitimacy of the revolution in changing the regime, The study also dealt with the extent of overlap and interlock the linguistic of the word revolution with other legitimate terms such as jihad and rebellions .. Which affected and affects the consideration and fatwa of the scholars. The researcher followed in this study the historical method inductive and then followed the comparative analytical method. The researcher reached a synthesis between theoretical, historical and applied studies to reach a precise definition of revolution, through this study the researcher reached to distinguish the term of revolution from other terms that interlock and overlap with them such as the terms of Jihad and bughat, The researcher explained when these terms correspond and when they are different In order to help scholars to specify their fatwas because several Islamic rules is related to the terminology. The research also concluded that the revolutions by their achievements do not match the objectives of sharia in the five essential elements, And that their utilities – if there are any- were weak and transient.
